The Atlanta Hawks won their first-ever draft lottery this past Mother’s Day and will be picking first in the 2024 NBA Draft. This will be their first time doing so since 1975, when they drafted future Hall of Famer David Thompson. However, Thompson never played for the Hawks because he elected to play in the ABA one season before the ABA-NBA merger. Here are my predictions on how the 2024 NBA Draft will play out:
