The 2024 NBA draft is two days away, with round one taking place at 8:00 PM ET on Wednesday, June 26 while the second round – for the first time – will take place the next day starting at 4:00 PM ET. Previous years have given fans a clear cut No. 1 overall pick – in some cases a generational talent like Victor Wembanyama or Zion Williamson, and in other case a handful of top options like Paolo Banchero and Chet Holmgren. This year is different – there is no real consensus at the top. The Atlanta Hawks will pick first, if they don’t make a trade, and the player generally considered top pick material – Alex Sarr from France – has yet to work out with the Hawks. Will Atlanta pivot to another french prospect in Zaccharie Risacher? Or will they go with a dark horse candidate in former UConn center Donovan Clingan? Or will a team like San Antonio trade up for the pick?
